Inpatient and Outpatient Surgery

DCMH Surgical Infection Rate Substantially Lower Than The National Surgical Infection Rate
In 2014 the Surgery Department further reduced the surgical site infection rate to 0.19 percent. This hospital's surgical infection rate has been below the national average for surgical infection rates for many years. In 2012 DCMH Surgery Department's surgery rate was 0.2%.

In comparison, the national surgical infection rate at many hospitals is estimated at 2.5% and the range nationally is from 3-5%. So what does that mean? This low 0.19 % infection rate in 2014 translates into even higher levels of safe, quality, patient care for patients that have surgery at Delta County Memorial Hospital.
